Profile

As a member of the Chef Club of Dodecanese and Cyclades, Chef Georgios' purpose is to put forward and promote local producers and the vast range of products available. His satisfaction comes from the reassuring smiles and astonishment of his guests at first taste.

As a professional chef who graduated from Institute of Vocational on Culinary Arts in Rhodes, Greece, he also serves as a member of the Chef Club of Dodecanese and Cyclades.

Private Chef Georgios gathered great experience from working in 5-star hotels such as the Atrium Platinum and Casino Rhodes, together with other several a la carte restaurants prior to working as an established Private Chef.

 

Services

Georgios' Private Chef services in Rhodes will only include seasonal organic products, his very own virgin olive oil from his grandpa’s fields in Ancient Olympia of the Peloponnese. This is where he spent most of his childhood and gathered knowledge about the natural ingredients available to his family and how to treat the trees and herbs with the utmost care.

Georgios and his team also gather fresh herbs and homemade honey from south of Rhodes. He provides special care for guests with dietary restrictions and try to ensure that everyone will have the ability to taste the local products and its flavours, which was handed down to him from his grandparents.

Georgios' top priorities as a Private Chef is to be quick, be clean and efficient. This will ensure that only the best results will be presented to his guests.

Preset Menus or Service Charge Only

There are two general options when it comes to Georgios’ Private Chef Services:

A. Preset menus
Carefully composed preset menus from which you can select the one that appeals to you the most.
B. Chef by the Week / Chef by the Day / Chef by the Meal / etc.
There is also the option of hiring Private Chef Georgios the week / by the meal / by the day or for as long as you wish. According to this type of service, together with the Guests we agree on the menu that will be served on the first day and the rest of the dinning schedule (where applicable) will be designed together with our chef on the first day of the service. The chef charges a service fee per meal/per week/per day, which most of the times includes a waiter but does not include the cost of food which is also covered by the Guests. This type of service provides you with great flexibility since it gives you the freedom to design your meals exactly the way you wish.

Alargo's Private Chef Georgios in Rhodes is dedicated to creating the very best of Greek cuisine, making sure both traditional and modern techniques are used in the process. This is his specialty and what inspires him to evolve as a chef.

Making sure only fresh seasonal, organic ingredients and herbs are used in his kitchen. He is always trying to exceed the expectations of the guests by providing them with dishes that will be rememberable and further inspire to their culinary senses.

How it works

If you wish to proceed with our Private Chef Georgios in Rhodes, please follow the booking process as described below:

  1. Browse through the menus. By clicking on the three dots or the select button the menus will expand, and you will be able to see all dishes.
  2. Once you have selected your menu, you would now need to select your dishes. Under every category there is a small note informing you about the minimum number of selections. When you have selected your dishes, click on ‘next’.
  3. Here you must select the date of each meal. By clicking on ‘next’ you will be asked to select the number of Guests to be served. Then you will be asked to state the location/venue of service. Here you should select ‘Third Party Accommodation’ if your accommodation/venue has been booked outside Alargo or ‘Accommodation Booked or Listed by Alargo’ if you have booked an Alargo accommodation/venue. When you click ‘next’ you will be asked to select your wines. The wine selection is not mandatory so if you wish you can skip this step. On the screen that follows, you will be able to see the summary of your order. If everything looks good, you click ‘Confirm’ or if you wish to amend your order you click on the ‘previous’ button on the left-hand side.
    Important Note: To add the rest of the meals to your order, before you press complete (see below) you must click on your browser’s ‘back’ button to return to the Chef's profile and repeat the process of the menu selections for as many times as you wish. Once you have completed your selections, everything should have been added to your order.
  4. Here you will Confirm your order by entering your information and clicking ‘complete’ (after you have accepted the Terms & Conditions). Before you click on the ‘Complete’ button, please include the link of the villa where the Private Chef session will take place on the “Your Place of Dining” box. The full details of any third-party venue are an essential piece of information to ensure that the chosen accommodation or venue meets all requirements for the provision of our Private Chef Service.

 

Glossary

  • Matsi or Koulouria is the most famous pasta of Rhodes that can be found with small variations and different names in the villages of Rhodes.
  • Souma is a colorless alcoholic beverage produced from the distillation of grape marc. It belongs to the family of Tsipouro and is similar to the Cretan Tsikoudia, the Cypriot Zivania and the Italian Grappa. Its alcohol content varies but usually ranges to 50 ° degrees. It is a traditional drink of Rhodes.
  • Mastic is a resin obtained from the mastic trees. It is known as the "tears of Chios," being traditionally produced on that Greek island.
  • Ravani is a cake made from semolina and yoghurt and after being baked in the oven, poured with syrup.
  • Saganaki is any one of a variety of dishes prepared in a small frying pan, probably the best-known being an appetizer of fried cheese.
