Alargo provides Private Yachting Services through www.alargo.no and www.alargo.com and its related / affiliated / partnered websites. Through our website we provide a platform whereby Travelers may schedule boat trips completed by independent and professional Skippers whose vessels we enlist on the Alargo website(s).
Alargo act as a broker for the Private Yacht arrangements. Our employees do not carry out any functions related to the vessel preparation or the trip. We have teamed up with professionals to carry out these duties. Through our website, Alargo presents you with a range of trips, designed by our dedicated Skippers, who prepare trips and navigate the vessels. This is the Private Yachting Service – also referred to as "service". You can reserve the service through our Online Portal and pay online or by bank transfer. Our customers – also referred to as "Passengers" will be able to arrange the trip, vessel, duration, pick-up/drop-off times, departure/return location and calculate price using the Alargo website as an online intermediate agent.
Adequate and valid travel insurance is compulsory for all bookings for all sailing holidays and it is a condition of accepting your booking that you agree you will have obtained adequate and valid travel insurance for your sailing holidays by the date of departure.
Please make sure that there is no damage, breakage, missing items, no additional cleaning for the yachts left abnormally dirty and no other outstanding charges upon check out. You agree to take all reasonable steps to ensure that your group or family adhere to the rules and regulations affecting your trip. Please note that Yachts have different rules and damage deposit may apply for which you will be informed during the booking procedure and your voucher.
Alargo will be providing all rules in writing to you along with our terms and conditions once accepting ‘I have read and agreed the Alargo Terms & Conditions’ check box. If a Yacht owner / skipper reports to us damage, breakage, missing items, yachts left abnormally dirty, etc., Alargo reserves the right to provide the Yacht owner with your contact details in order to resolve the issue directly.
The duration of the chartered trip will be provided on your confirmation, as every itinerary is different.
The charterer agrees not to allow any person on board (including the charterer) to commit any act contrary to the custom laws of the country of the service provision or contrary to the laws pertaining to fishing or under water fishing nor to seek and/or take possession of objects of archaeological nature or value and that in case any such act is committed this Agreement shall thereupon terminate, but without prejudice to any rights of the Owner and that the Charterer shall carry alone any resulting responsibilities and he shall answer alone to the appropriate Authorities.
The Yacht Owner / Skipper will not leave a port or anchorage if the wind force is or is predicted to be over six (6) of the Beaufort Scale or if the harbor Authorities have imposed a prohibition of sailing or while the Yacht has unprepared damage or any of her vital parts such as engine, sails, rig, bilge pump, anchoring gear, navigation lights, compass, safety equipment, etc. are not in good working condition or without sufficient reserves of fuel or in general, when weather conditions or the state of the Yacht or its crew or a combination of them concerning the safety of the Yacht and her crew is doubtful.
Alargo AS acts as an agent for the Yacht Owners and does not assume any liability for personal or property loss and damage or injury during the trips.
Pets of any kind are not allowed on the Yachts provided by Alargo, unless stated otherwise.
All Yachts are cleaned thoroughly prior to your trip.
In case of maintenance problems during your trip, the owner / skipper will strive to repair the problem as soon as possible. No refund or rate adjustment will be made for unforeseen mechanical failures.
Alargo wishes to maintain an atmosphere for the quiet enjoyment of the trips. We accept trip reservations to family groups with children fit to travel and responsible adults and couples only! Special functions on board such as Private Chef and other events may be allowed, but only with written permission from the yacht owners/skippers.
In the highly unlikely event that your chartered yacht cannot be made available, be out of order or deemed substandard prior to your arrival (not applicable to weather restriction), Alargo reserves the right to provide you with substitute comparable or better yacht alternative without liability. If a comparable alternative cannot be made available, passengers may wish to receive a complete refund of the yacht rental. Alargo will only be liable for yacht services booked through www.alargo.no / www.alargo.com and cannot bear responsibility for other arrangements or services booked separately in connection to your trip.
Please respect the maximum number of passengers allowed in each trip. If the number of people wishing to sail exceeds the indicated number clearly stated on the voucher, the yacht owners reserve the right to cancel the trip without refund.
