THODOROU
Thodorou, a small island with crystal clear water spread in 697sqm that offers shelter to the Cretan Ibex or else Kri-Kri. The access to the general public is limited since the island is a national park protected by international laws. However, people are allowed to discreetly approach the beaches of the island for rest, diving or swimming.
MAHERIDA
The picturesque beach of Macherida is located on the northwest side of the Akrotiri peninsula just 14 km from Chania. It is hidden amongst a rocky cove and it accessed either on foot after a short walk or by boat. It is a picture perfect 'cozy' little beach with white sand and turquoise crystal clear waters. Macherida is not an organised beach with the closest amenities being located in Tersanas beach approximately one kilometer away. Near the beach there is the biotope of Macherida which is a habitat for many wild animals and looks like a “crater” from which brackish water gushes.
LAZARETTA
The small island of Lazaretta has a beautiful underwater view and it is worth swimming all the way to the small coral sandy beach of the island.
